We had WinCE. No thanks.

Not OP but it's because there are rolling blackouts.

> What is considered sufficiently wealthy

Ability to afford your own solar. A lot of South Africans can't, and with prices increasing 100x over the past 20 years, it makes it difficult to get out of that poverty.

@anothergoodname was the one with a problem.

> are you saying SVP’s words are not important and should be ignored?

Personally I would say that an SVPs words are not important and don't need to be ignored.

It's like a politician talking about abstract policies. Yes they do sort of affect me, but they don't require any affirmative action on my behalf any more than the wind does.

> The American armed forces are too professional to do such a thing. Terror is not in our toolbox.

I can't tell if you are being serious. This is literally what the US does.

Pronunciation inconsistency is due to all the invasions.

You should watch Map Men.

Windows 10 LTSC is not available outside of volume licencing.

That you pirate an OS they refuse to sell to you to get a better experience is your choice, but it's unrealistic to suggest that it's a solution for the average person.

That looks pretty bad, and getting worse.

> build a demonstrable history of making high-quality contributions to lesser known projects.

> Seems like an obvious solution

I'm not sure how you would rank quality of submissions for grading contributors like this. Just because a project accepted your PR doesnt make it high quality, the best we can hope for is that it was better than no accepting it?

I think we need one of those solution to spam checklists[1], but for AI slop.

> I doubt Microsoft is holding developers hands when transitioning to Arm the way that Apple does.

While this is key it has nothing to do with the walled garden approach, and everything to do with Microsoft's contempt for users of its platforms.

People may not be very happy with recent UI changes in Tahoe but it's still another universe compared to some the clunky Windows 2000-ish stuff still in Windows 11.

And what's worse, the clunky Windows 2000-ish stuff is the good stuff that works!
