Data Integration Agent http://DataIntegrationAgent.com

I got really sick of all the different crappy ways to get data into SalesForce. I really can just drag and drop from a toolbox. Point to files, do joins, mapping, and eve custom code. When I'm done I enter my password for SalesForce and push the run button.

It is a bit buggy though, I just slapped together some code I had and some code I found around the net. But, the screen shots are real, and even my buggy solution works way better than anything out there.

Cool stuff!

A couple things I wish I had after visiting some friends. Wire the opposite sides of your rooms on different fuses. Run gas lines to your backyard for access to heaters and grill. The gas from your house is different than what you would use for your grill/outside heating you may need to change the aperture of the openings. Walk around your house and find somewhere you would like your garden. Find a window that looks over that spot, and install a switch inside next to the window that controls an outlet outside the house. It's nice to be able to water your garden with a flip of a switch. :)

I see the logic of wiring different sides of rooms on different fuses but I think this would probably be against wiring regulations in the UK - and possibly against common sense too.

I to am really surprised this got to the front page. I'm kind of interested in how that happened. But on the other hand I've been browsing HN for about 2 years now. I wish now that I had contributed more in the past so I could down vote submissions. It's probably schmucks like me who tell everyone, not just those that have the same interests, that they read HN. Yes, the account I'm using is a more recent account, I forgot my old password.

I put up a MVP at bzzard.com a couple days ago. The problem that I was trying to solve is that I have a bunch of small websites, and I wanted to see all my sites stats on one page. So, I’m just scratching my own itch.

The site is pretty simple to use. Think twitter for your app. Just send a message containing 140 char message, a double, latitude, and longitude. Then login to create a dashboard where you can display gauges, charts, and message streams. You can filter on the message and the double value that was posted. You can also create counts, sums, and averages in the charts and gauges. There’s a messaging system that allows you can set up status logic to send of messages if certain conditions are met. The dashboard and messaging evaluates metrics, updates dashboards, and sends out messages pretty close to real time, 20-30 seconds.

The site is up and running. You can check it out by going to bzzard.com and logging in as jerry@bzzard.com and password of jerry. I have page view and application restart messages from bzzard.com displayed. It’s still a bit buggy, and it is sitting on the cheapest godaddy server. But, I’m still pretty surprised at what I was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.

I bricked my Iphone the first time I ran the jailbreak. Here is what I did to get it working again. 1. Start itunes and plug your iphone into your computer. Nothing will happen right now, just do it. 2. With your iphone plugged in and itunes started hold down the home key and the top button. 3. Keep holding down both buttons during the reboot and blank screen. Don't let go until you see a disk and a usb cable. 4. Select restore from itunes.

It was not bricked. It was Facetime/MMS that disappeared.

The Road was also another excellent book by Cormac McCarthy. I'm not sure about his other books but this one was a really easy read.

The Border Series (All The Pretty Horses, The Crossing, etc) is riddled with inaccessible scene description (non-stop landscape lexicon) and bouts of Spanish, only barely detracting from each story's general awe-inspiring quality.

No Country For Old Men is more accessible and I'd definitely recommend it. The Road is also a must.
