Why can't you just write it on the envelope? It's simpler and cheaper.

Perhaps his penmanship is not the best? I've known several people that have had crippling arthritis, making them unable to hand-write legibly.

This seems to be a nice project todo in your spare time. Buying it? No thanks, I don't see how this will benefit me. Selling these for 500$+ ? You must be joking.

Does anyone else think that they should have made a "Previous" button as well?

From a programmer's point of view, they look good. I think they would look great on a minimal-like design.

Upgrading like that may cause some issues (I had issues upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04) so maybe doing a fresh install would make it work better.

Well I had very similar (or worse) problems when upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04, but when they released the Narwhal, the update went smoothly.

It's quite a difficult task to provide the update facility, last time I checked, Linux Mint recommended doing a full reinstall.

I have to ask, why is this important?

Both TechCrunch and VC can be pretty important to startups, and this story is about both.

Because techcrunch is popular. Other than that, the guy is very temperamental as the crunchpad story shows.

Interesting, did anyone who subscribed receive any news via email about the registration being opened ? I didn't.

I got no mail, and was signed up for ai, ml, db. It seems only ai is open to registration so far, perhaps to get an idea of demand and discover bugs...

Not I. And I only spotted it because I brought the course up in a meeting at the office this morning.

No, although I subscribed the first time. I read it here ;-)

Questions like this seem a bit pointless in my opinion. I mean sure, a lot of people get to answer with their insights and opinions on the said language/tool, but in the end isn't everything you learn going to benefit you and make you a better programmer? So asking if something is worth learning will probably always get a positive answer because the more you know the better (even if you don't get to use that specific tool you ask about).
