Hi HN, I'm toying around with a product concept for curating images that is free of Ads, Social Clutter etc. Sharing our first collection that is based on art and anatomy.
I for one have learned through a lot of these over-hyped (and fraudulent) companies that when the public thinks something sounds impossible/highly infeasible, but the VCs swear there's something there, it's *much* more likely that the VC is buying into hype without doing sufficient research than it is that they know something that a generally intelligent public doesn't.
Founder of www.redlotustech.com here. We are extending our military metal detector training product (precise tracking and visualization) capability to track over larger areas in more realistic operational scenarios. Curious whether there might be an application in the “detectorist” domain. Would be happy to chat with those interested/involved in the space.
I've found it challenging to make sure that my team follows a sound process to explore the space of strategic options to achieve a given objective. I like to think of KRs as a mechanism to monitor and focus the execution of a selected path. KRs, alone, say very little about the quality of the strategic decision making process.

Hah, that resonated with me. I've had anosmia since birth, and I had a moment this week where I was chewing on rosemary to gauge what its impact on my dish would be, and thought to myself "I really don't get herbs".
Very interesting and beautifully written piece.:-)
Greetings to her, and good luck during pregnancy for you both.
I lost part of my taste for about week around Christmas, and when eating my mother's waffles I thought she had lost her baking touch because it tasted like cardboard. Thankfully my taste was soon recovered, but it made me think of the "small" things we take for granted . . .
If you have line of sight and can use fixed beacons whose position is known apriori, ultrasound is a good bet. However, if you need to track multiple objects within a defined space, things get tricky with ultrasound. Also, if 100hz is a strict requirement, ultrasound is not a great option due to issues such as signal attenuation in the environment.
