I don’t think anyone but US people got confused by those headlines. Makes sense though. When there are two places with identical names, you hear more often about the one closest to you, so that’d be your first assumption.

Some Americans can't even visually distinguish the two: https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/us-news/yikes-trum...

Your goal is to score lower

if i just smash space i get a lower score than when i try playing

edit: managed to get a score of 131 for getting to 0 fragmentation in 30 seconds, i had 139 from just spamming space

It's possible to do a lot better with strategy.

That makes total sense. I guess "best score" would be a better wording in that case.

Thanks, I have adjusted it to:

Best Score: XXX

(Aim for a lower score)

Just refresh the page

"lowest score" would be self explanatory. "Best score" still made me think I was doing better with a higher score

on the other hand, it might be better to change the scoring system. Calculate the worst score using the current system. Then reverse so the score goes up as in displayScore = worstScore - oldWayOfCalculatingScore

What's the difference between 70mm and IMAX 70mm? Is it just the aspect ratio (2.20:1 vs 1.43:1)?

The film is run through the camera & projector sideways, allowing for a larger frame to be laid down on the same stock.

Yes, it’s an even larger format than traditional 70mm. The cells are physically larger. Anecdote: Nolan worked with Kodak to invent black & white IMAX film for Oppenheimer.

This diagram is so weird to me. Bottom part is simple and neat, while the top half just goes crazy. My puny brain desperately wants this world to be understandable and elegantly designed, but apparently atomic structure has a different idea.

All the noise is just details. The chart is basically three parts:

1: Blue is all the pressures and temperatures where water is solid.

2: Green is all the pressures and temperatures where water is liquid.

3: Yellowish red is all the pressures and temperatures where water is vapour.

I'm not sure what to make of the points and little lines. They seem to have something to do with the ranges within those ranges where the different kinds of ice occur.

Or maybe it's the developer who needs to fix his editor. Proper editor should convert tabs into spaces or vise versa and not create complications for everyone else.

At one point I was working at a printing shop. One time I was testing color calibration, running the same sheet through the printer multiple times, and these dots became visible clearly.

It was quite a head scratchier, we actually thought there's something wrong with our printer until I googled about these yellow dots.

> Create a SAAS [...] Lot of small products that are doing under 10K per month

Could you point me to an example? I find it hard to figure what small apps are actually capable of pulling any income.

Indiehackers has some good examples:

Why not just

  if (i % 3 != 0 && i % 5 != 0)
this extra boolean variable out?

I like to think it's matter of readability. "if (pureNumber)" vs. "if (i % 3 != 0 && i % 5 != 0)". Also, one extra variable vs. reversal of already mentioned condition. Yes, we're splitting hair here :)

For Russian freelancers who work for dollars this ruble fall is actually quite a good news. Same work brings you twice the money.

For anyone who gets paid in USD it's good, but that is a really small ratio of people.

Wow, this is most definitely interesting! Is it optimized, though? Are all tabs active at once?

Also, I wonder, is this idea original or was there any attempts at making something similar to this before?

Yes, it's optimized for running multiple websites simultaneously. All tabs are visible and running, but whatever you click on becomes the "active" tab, which helps with resources. Also, non-visible tabs aren't rendered by your video card.

We didn't base this designed on any previous ideas. There have been some other attempts to solve similar problems (tile tabs, etc) but nothing that we felt quite "hit it."
