Same question for me. I think it's all about tracking if someone steal files from your onedrive and then they can track who stole it... maybe? But as a user of onedrive and google drive i can say that their license agreement on onedrive (normal customer) doesn't assume owning your files, while google drives i think is written that they own your files and can modify it without your permission. At least google say it.

I wonder if that means that other vendors like samsung/lg/huawei/... will not manufacture windows phones anymore as the name "Microsoft Mobile" sounds to me like there are no other vendors that can install MS WP systems on their devices. Any idea?

In the build 2014 they announced a list of 12-14 vendors that are about to ship some new wp8.1, so I think that's not the case.

Surely the fact that now MS control also the HW and can produce phones directly will not encourage, in the mid-long term, other manufacturers to use that os, also if it is license free.

Nokia already has over 90% of the Windows Phone market share. Third party OEMs might as well not be making them already.

Happy for this "invention" but I would wait for this kind of stuff when smartphones will have all their laser sensors for depth measurment, so this calculations doesn't require a sequnce of taken picture, as the main character could move quickly and deform the final picture or the blur effect. But for static photography or selfies looks amazing.

I'am a big fan of WP since release of WP7, but I'am thinking that microsoft should close the development of WP as it is too late to fight against ios and android. But as a user of WP8 (lumia 920) i can only say that it's a wonderful product with genius ux design and super-duper hardware, that doens't freeze... practically never. I restart it every month in case the battery drains to 0%. Hope that it can make it in the future, but doens't seems to. About WP8.1 i'am so excited, and in few months hope to get the update!!!!
