I'm convinced it's from the old JCPenny/Sears/mall back hallways that were minimally decorated that housed the photo studio and layaway filtered through the eyes of a 5 year old.

I very much miss OPAMP techincal books in Los Angeles, and later the Fry's technical books section. Barnes and Noble and my local library still carry some. There's just nothing that gives you that random access to the unknown unknowns like a bookshelf. Using an AI to give you suggestions can come close, but as they're now switching to ad placement pushing product instead of really pulling from a mega training pool it will become useless.

Yeah, Vista Ultimate had animated desktops, it was stable for what I did, used ReadyBoost SD card for increased performance and the HP Pavilion convertable pen/touch screen was awesome. Not everyone had the same experience.

Is this available to install on Hercules emulator for hobbyists? For people unfamiliar with Mainframes, check out the moshix youtube channel.

We don't currently support Hercules, but we are providing free access to a mainframe for people to try out.

That's great! Thank you

Someone needs to update the simpsons wiki : ( https://simpsonswiki.com/wiki/Ted_Turner

Can't find the source but the quote I heard attributed to Orson Welles to Turner wanting to colorize the purposefully black-and-white Citizen Kane was "Tell Ted Turner to keep his goddamn crayolas off my movies"

Or the death of the American Chestnut the generation before, once so common its causually in a Christmas song, now all but gone.

Not to mention the loss of the 5-storey-tall coconut palms in South Florida back in the 1970's to Lethal Yellowing. The last resort treatment for these was tetracycline too but it did not save them. Plus they were not generally cultivated nor a local cash crop.

These things used form a massive canopy or grove naturally in so many places, towering over the homes and undeveloped properties.

Which is why so many old homes had the 3 inch thick white tiles on the roof. When one of the nuts comes down from up there it hits pretty hard, even if it's not a hurricane.

Almost all virtually gone, and what's there now is really all the result of landscaping efforts ever since, using resistant varieties that are quite dwarf by comparison.

Tech Company: At long last, we have created the Torment Nexus from classic sci-fi novel Don't Create The Torment Nexus.

This was already pretty well hashed out (heh) during the 'core'/'cash' issue when there was an attempt to fork in an expanded the block size. Both chains still exist. Bitcoin operation is entirely up to the miners to determine the heaviest chain, and that's like two entities (the number of entities required is called the Nakamoto coefficient). It's not magic, but there is a huge cult built up around it by scammers, rubes, opportunists and speculators.

Miners enforce the consensus rules but they can't change them. If miners try to change the rules, exchanges have no obligation to follow.
