I just have no words. There will be so many scams and other issues if (or when) OpenClaw is hacked... Identity thefts, bank transfers, deleted accounts, stolen photos, etc.

I gave this advice to a non-developer friend yesterday: There is a huge interest in creating all types of automation. Don’t waste your time doing this also. Someone else is going to create a way to automate things that is much more secure than the extremely insecure manners the crowd is experimenting with right now. Let them experiment, make messes, and probably figure out this method, that method, and 10 others people dream up and try are not good for long term use. Let them drive wreaked infrastructure for a while, and then pick up the working, clean and safe methods 2–3 years from now. Long after this early experimenters crowd have cognitively damaged themselves and intellectually exhausted themselves multiple times over. Let their pain be your future easy solution.

But who am I kidding, this is fashion and has nothing to do with tech.

Could it be that they are just squeezing a 3rd party battery over its safety limits to make it "real".

When ar they supposed to put the Verge motorcycle on the roads?

I think you don't cook much if you say this... We try to cook our food as much as possible and also we are at home almost all the time. At the end of the day there can easily be 2-3 pots, 2-3 bowls, 4-6 cups for tea, coffee or breakfast, a few glasses, 4 to 8 dishes, utensils and cutlery, some devices like a blender attachment and its jug, Tupperwares and some pan that I made sure it's dishwasher safe...

I could reduce a bit the number of glasses and cups by reusing them more but anyway, the dishwasher makes a big difference.

Nope, I cook and wash dishes twice a day. I eat almost exclusively from the grocery store and haven't been to a restaurant, etc., since 2020. Somebody had to die for that to happen. But my cooking is simple, and I very rarely use more than a single cooking vessel (mostly an air fryer drawer), plate and utensils. I wash dishes so quickly that I think I'd feel the same if I were cooking for four.

Oh, you sweet dishwasher podchild. When I lived the life of a bachelor and ate over the sink/kitchen counter, I could get by with a single set of dishes, one cast-iron skillet, one pot, a single set of silverware, one knife, and one spatula.

Now that I cook for 2-3 people and more on holidays, I know from practical experience that the number of dirty dishes generated and the water used quickly exceeds anything a dishwasher would use. The use of water also increases when you cook big batches of food, so you can have quick meals available for lunches and dinners when you're too tired too cook and/or broke to go out to a restaurant/takeout.

If someone tried to take away my dishwasher, I would put their head on a pike in the front yard as a warning to anyone else who tried.

The one thing I've learned from this article and the comments here is that I really should run a load every night, even if the machine isn't totally full, because there are always more dishes used than it looks like at first glance.

You can but you'll miss important context.

TOS and TNG explain the Federation utopian universe, the ongoing conflicts and races, the moral dilemmas of the captains... I feel that starting with DS9 might get you miss the point a bit.

I would say to at least try to watch a curated selection of TNG episodes.

These videos have high chance of aging like milk... We'll see what Anthropic does 10 years from now. Remember "don't be evil"

It was bullshit then, it’s bullshit now.

I pay ChatGPT 20 bucks a month, or whatever the subscription is. I get massive value out of this, Sam Altman is paying for my computing power. I’m paying a tenth(or less) of what the actual price is. Once that no longer applies, I will ditch ChatGPT and probably build my own LLM computer.

So thanks Sam for giving me cheap computing power.

That is so interesting man, keep us updated.

Even if what this article claims is false, I'm 100% in favor of buying organic fabrics like wool and cotton. I'm doing it as much as I can and it's not that difficult except for shoes and some water proof layer. There are also solutions for that but I admit they are a bit less convenient for certain uses like hiking

The microplastics are getting everywhere and I don't want to know what happens if the amount keeps increasing... But I guess we will know.

I wouldn't spread conspiracy theories without more information. It has rained really a lot and maintenance of railways are long overdue in Spain and especially Catalonia

It was to be expected. But I'm more afraid of sponsored answers.

If I ask ChatGPT to compare 2 products and only one of them is from an advertiser, will it be honest? I doubt it

I have 3 oversized air purifiers in my home.

I don't really know if they help to prevent infections but my wife has Long Covid and every time there is too much dust, pollen or smoke around us she gets pretty bad.

So we decided to buy them with little proof after she noticed she feels somewhat better when staying in a room with one. It could even be partially placebo but for the days with too much particles from outside I think it really helps.

Maybe we should rather have a full control of air flows in our home but that would be a huge investment for a very old house, also having air flowing with windows partially open on dry days also seems to help. Humidity ( and certainly mold) also has a clear negative effect so I had to buy a dehumidifier too

"It's very concerning that this marketing puff piece is being eaten up by HN of all places as evidenced by the other thread."

It's very concerning that you claim this without previously fully reading and understanding Google's publication...
