E.g., no sick days allowed, but then everyone gets sick, so everyone is fired and now the company has no employees and ends up liquidating?

It's usually a slower process that results in failure.

Companies who lose employees will hire someone to replace them. The more desperate they are, the lower quality the employees will be.
