Hard disagree, a phin filter is superior to a french press in all ways, and I exclusively used french presses for about a decade. The time it takes to grind beans is the same as the time it takes to clean the device from yesterday's coffee. A hot water pot means I never wait for hot water, and it's dialed in to the perfect temperature. The time it takes to brew is the same as the time it takes to feed the cat. No steeping & stirring like a french press, and it's way easier to clean due to being shallower than a french press. It's maximally efficient and in my opinion, makes a better brew.

But anyway, some people don't want "personal" coffee. They want their coffee the way they drink it, not the way you drink it.
