The article has a point but the title is one of those logical fallacies that Korzybski warned you about. It's why some of his followers speak and write "E-Prime" that omits most uses of the verb "to be".
I also think there is something unhealthy going on w/ the conservative movement these days that has made anti-censorship a fetish.
Back in the day conservatives thought God was their God but now it seems they worship anti-Woke and anti-Cancel. Any speech is good speech so long as somebody is trying to ban it.
There was that Milo Yiannopoulos who was playing a disingenuous game where the point was to say outrageous things, get banned, get sympathy from out-of-it boomers who give money to liberal art colleges, fool people into thinking he has something significant to say, raise his speaking fees, get banned again, etc. He finally got canceled by CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) and hasn't been heard from since.
These folks who are flooding hacker news with spam about dog pills and cancel culture don't just demand to delete their accounts when their posts get flagged but they complain when they get downvoted. Pretty soon they are going to be complaining when we fail to upvote their posts. They have an astonishingly entitled attitude and a victim mentality right up their with the woke crybabies that they hate.

Cory also gave a CCC talk on the same topic last year, which is a little less prolix:
