As a child, I remember telnetting into an instance of blinkenlights to watch a fairly faithful ASCII rendition of Star Wars Episode IV. I never really looked into what sort of software blinkenlights was. Very interesting!

If I recall correctly, the command was: "Telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl"

I wonder if its still active.
