I was in that Token-Ring world back then, and the terminator clip at the end of the chain was the bane of my existence. Our System 6 and 7 machines had to talk to everything, VAX and PDP and DOS and anything else that communicated over serial.

The WWW was a rumor then a thing, and it was fun to click around on Gopher, but you couldn't find anything you could really use.
