The judge rules that equivalent laws existed in the UK, which was the basis of the extradition.


Surely if the equivalent laws did actually exist in the UK, then he should be tried in the UK.


He could have been, but the UK courts said that they had no interest in prosecuting. Seems strange that it opens up the possibility of extradition, but there you are.
