Actually, I would not want to fully-maximize much on a 50+" desktop display, except when I lapse into a pure-consumption mental state.

More to the point, I want an immersive, uninterrupted display surface. The bezels in a multi-monitor configuration just serve to annoy me by wasting space on my desk and in my field of view.
