YouTube will do it's own set of nasty things to creators, as we can see on an almost weekly basis on the first page here. Also we'll never know what kind of stuff it will do in years to come. So "move from platform X to platform Y" may be a decent tactical advice, but in a long run it is better to suppose that they are all the same.


True, we just need to keep in mind that there's not "best platform", just a "lest worst platform"


In this context, the terms “best” or “worst” have to be measured on a number of different axes.

What is best on one axis might fare poorly on a different axis.

So, there is unlikely to be one single best platform for anything, although there may be many horrible platforms in many different ways.
